He monitored member performance to teach and enforce guidelines. He participated in the development of promotions and other activities to motivate members and drive content submissions.
The California Newspaper Project, Riverside, CA, 1994-2000
Library Assistant/Serials Cataloger
Participated in this grant-funded research project that traces trends and subjects of newspaper publishing in California. He assisted in meeting the project goal of identifying, locating and preserving community newspapers as primary resources. He cataloged newspapers using OCLC applying library standards. He also answered reference queries via phone, email and in-person; gave oral presentations; provided preservation consulting; and assisted in local database management.
